Madison Elementary School embraces our district’s mission - to inspire and equip all students to continuously acquire and apply knowledge and skills while pursuing their dreams and enriching the lives of others. At Madison, these words drive all we do for our students. 

Madison STEM is focused on the students first and foremost. The team of educators, students, parents, business partners, community members, and district personal work collaboratively to create a safe and engaging learning environment for each Madison student.

STEM

As a “STEM” certified school, we integrate STEM units in a meaningful way to benefit students through hands-on, project-based learning and real-life application that bring academic standards to life. STEM isn’t just “science, technology, engineering, and math”! We are dedicated to developing ALL of our students in the five below-listed domains to help all Cardinals become curious problem-solvers who know that making mistakes is just part of the process to getting a perfected end result.

While our school’s main two focuses are “Lakes and Steams” and “Biomedical,” each grade-level also has their own sub-focuses, including space, agriculture, weather, and more!

Madison in the News: 

The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) today announced Claypool, Jefferson, and Madison are now certified in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). These three Warsaw Community elementary schools join Washington STEM Academy.

Created in 2015, the STEM Certified Schools program recognizes schools focused on a commitment to teaching STEM disciplines beyond the classroom. STEM Certified Schools exemplify a highly non-traditional approach to education, employing a great deal of inquiry, project-based learning, community engagement, entrepreneurship, student-centered classrooms, integration into humanities and related arts, and out-of-school STEM activities. STEM Certified schools take this approach while following educational policies set by the state and excelling under the system of accountability. Prior to certification, each school completed a rigorous application and review process.
