On Tuesday, Oct. 25 Edgewood sent 14 students and 4 teachers into the community to give back to our neighbors. Students were members of National Junior Honor Society or Edgewood Cares Club. The students and teachers had fun with a "Rake and Run" philanthropic activity. One home had prearranged for the visit but from 2-4pm, the students and teachers knocked on doors and raked leaves and picked up sticks and trash from front yards and then quickly moved on to another house. Over 8 homes were surprised with some unexpected help. Everyone had a great time. Mrs. Fisher noted that her group of girls not only enjoyed the raking but starting singing as they worked!
