Social Media Decorum Statement

Warsaw Community Schools (WCS) social media platforms are used to share important updates, celebrate student and staff achievements, and engage with our community. To maintain a positive, respectful and safe environment, we ask all participants to follow these guidelines:

Be Respectful:
Treat others with courtesy and kindness. Do not post language or images that are hateful, discriminatory, harassing or threatening toward any individual or group.

Stay On Topic:
Comments and posts should relate to WCS, our programs, or the school community. Off-topic or repetitive posts may be removed to keep discussions focused and meaningful.

Protect Privacy:
Avoid sharing personal or confidential information, such as student information protected by FERPA. For specific concerns or questions about a student or situation, please contact the appropriate school office directly.

Use Appropriate Language:
Profanity, vulgarity or offensive language is not permitted and will be removed. We strive to maintain a positive, family-friendly environment.

No Solicitation or Spam:
Unsolicited commercial promotions, political endorsements or spam posts are not allowed and will be removed.

Follow the Law:
Content that is defamatory, fraudulent, or in violation of local, state, or federal laws will be removed and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Content Moderation:
WCS reserves the right to hide or remove comments and content that violate these guidelines or disrupt constructive dialogue. Repeat offenders may be blocked from further participation.
