Warsaw Community Schools is proud to celebrate its ongoing partnership with SYM Financial Advisors. Through SYM’s generous support and five year commitment, every Warsaw Community High School student receives an all-sport pass, allowing them to attend athletic events and cheer on their classmates. This sponsorship has also led to the creation of the "SYM Zone" cheer block, fostering school spirit and student engagement at WCHS games.
Beyond financial support, SYM Financial continues to demonstrate its commitment to WCS students by encouraging community involvement and school pride. We appreciate their dedication to making a lasting impact on student experiences and the WCHS athletic community.
Warsaw Community Schools is proud to partner with DreamOn Studios to provide students with real-world experiences in media production. Through this collaboration, students in the Advanced Digital Media class at the Warsaw Area Career Center (WACC) have the opportunity to work with industry professionals, develop technical skills, and gain hands-on experience in video and audio production.
Beyond mentorship, DreamOn Studios has supported WCS students through projects like the Speaker Series podcast episode, which featured Judy Rantz-Willman and Jennifer Huffman, daughter and granddaughter of Joe Rantz, a member of the 1936 Olympic gold medal-winning rowing team. This project connected students to the story behind the New York Times bestseller The Boys in the Boat and showcased their work at a professional level.
Warsaw Community Schools is honored to receive a generous grant from the K21 Health Foundation to enhance fitness and wellness opportunities within the future Student Activity Center. This $333,226 grant will expand program offerings for students, staff and the community.
In addition to this investment, K21 Health Foundation has supported WCS through grants for enhanced elementary PE equipment, Tower Gardens in all buildings and multiple student and community suicide prevention initiatives. We are grateful for their continued commitment to student well-being.
Thanks to a $150,000 grant from the Zimmer Biomet Foundation, Warsaw Community Schools is expanding STEM education across all buildings! This funding supports mini-grants for teachers and STEM personnel, curriculum development for the Will Bus and Lakes & Streams lessons, and professional development in project-based learning.
The grant also funds STEM equipment, robotics materials, and hands-on learning experiences like the WCS Robotics Showcase, Will Bus dissections, and student-led STEM initiatives. We appreciate Zimmer Biomet Foundation's investment in inspiring future innovators!
Warsaw Community Schools is grateful for Kosciusko Community Hospital's continued support of student health and athletics. Their most recent donation, a golf cart in partnership with Raccoon Run Golf Course, allows WCHS athletic trainers and staff to respond quickly across multiple athletic fields.
Beyond this donation, KCH has invested over $1 million in WCS through initiatives including a new AstroTurf football field, athletic trainers, a near-site clinic for WCS employees, health fairs, student physicals, flu shots, a strength and conditioning coach, and donations of medical supplies and fitness equipment. Their generosity continues to make a lasting impact!
Warsaw Community Schools is proud to receive a $50,000 grant from the 1st Source Bank Foundation to support equipment purchases for the new Student Activity Center. This funding enhances WCS’s ability to host indoor track meets, tournaments and athletic camps.
Beyond financial support, 1st Source Bank employees volunteer their time through programs like United Way reading and Junior Achievement. Additionally, 1st Source Bank and the Esther Pfleiderer Charitable Trust contribute financially to our annual Speaker Series events. We appreciate their ongoing commitment to WCS students and the community.
