
WCS had a lot to celebrate this past week/weekend. Here are a few of the highlights...
Warsaw Winter Percussion performed at Center Grove and placed 1st!
Warsaw Winter Guard finished with a Gold rating in the IHSCGA Finals!
The Warsaw Speech Team traveled to state and placed 3rd overall with several other top finishes!
FFA excelled in the District 2 Leadership Contests with several top finishes including District Star in Agricultural Placement winner and 1st place District FFA Chapter Meeting contest team!
The WCHS Theatre Department had a great turnout for The SpongeBob Musical performances.

PARTNERSHIP SPOTLIGHT: WCS is grateful for the many community partners that pour into our staff and students. One of these partners is Lost Sparrows.
Darren and Stacey Gagnon provide valuable training and professional development for educators, foster parents, community organizations, etc. throughout the state. Lost Sparrows also hosts an annual conference (SAVE THE DATE for September 8 and 9).

Washington 3rd graders spent the past month learning about bones, muscles and how they work together. As a culminating project, students had the opportunity to research information; plan a presentation; and learn how to code and prepare models using Spike and Sphero kits. Finally, they put together a showcase for parents and family members!

The Warsaw Community Schools Strategic Plan includes the four pillars of Empathy, Adaptability, Inclusivity, and Experience. The staff of Lincoln Elementary School are preparing for an event next week tied to the Inclusivity Pillar.

Mark your calendars! We are THRILLED to welcome the future class of 2036!
If your child will be five years old before Aug. 1, 2023, we invite you to Kindergarten Round Up on March 21st. Please attend your home school for the round-up event; if you are unsure which elementary district you live in, please contact one of the school offices for additional information.
Kindergarten Round-Up will contain important information about registration, immunizations, school safety, before & after school care, along with the STEM and Dual Language Immersion (DLI) programs.
Registration for all new K-12 families will open immediately following Kindergarten Round-Up. Registration for returning families will open on April 17, 2023. Registration information can be found at www.warsawschools.org/o/warsaw/page/registration1.
All incoming kindergarten families interested in DLI must have pre-registration and registration completed by June 1 in order to be entered in the DLI lottery, which is tentatively scheduled for June 7.

Jefferson's very own HAPPY BEANS had their soft launch today. They had a GREAT turnout and raised $242.22! Happy Beans will be open from 8:45-9:30am every Friday for staff to enjoy a sweet treat before school.
