POOL NEWS: Due to construction work around the pool area, open swim is cancelled for December 23 and Monday, December 27.

Staff at WCS Central Office take up a collection each year to donate to elementary schools. In past years, it has been hats, gloves, scarves. This year the need was for sweatpants, undies, socks. #wcsmission #togetherwearewarsaw

The WCHS Select Chorale went on a tour of local schools (Washington STEM Academy) and businesses (Chore Time) to give their time & talents to bring joy to audience of all ages! Thank you to organizers, bus drivers, staff, and students. #wcsmission #togetherwearewarsaw

Rowdy the Humanoid Robot Performs Washington STEM Academy Abbi Richcreek’s Edgewood Middle School students Hunter Fitterling, Mason Fitterling, Jack Langhorn, and Maya Bodiker lead a special event for kindergartners and first graders at Washington STEM Academy. Over the years, Abbi Richcreek’s focus on innovative projects led her to write numerous grants. In the summer of 2017, she was awarded a Nao humanoid robot, which was named Rowdy. Rowdy is the first robot to successfully ride a horse programmed by middle school students at a professional performance event. Rowdy and Abbi Richcreek’s students have made numerous appearances at nursing homes, community ag events, and elementary schools in previous years. This year, Hunter, Mason, Jack, and Maya surprised kindergartners with an introduction to Rowdy who demonstrated his abilities through yoga, walking, playing a game, and reciting Clement Clarke Moore’s poem 'Twas the Night Before Christmas published in 1823. The children were mesmerized! Thank you again to Edgewood student leaders for giving Washington students an experience to remember! #wcsmission #togetherwearewarsaw

WCS Welcomes Matt Campbell as the WCHS Head Boys Cross Country Coach. Coach Campbell offered, “I first want to thank Athletic Director Matt Binkerd, Assistant Athletic Director Michael Howk, and the rest of the administration for giving me this opportunity. I am honored to have the chance to lead the Warsaw Men’s Cross Country program and to continue the tradition of success with this dedicated group of student-athletes. I grew up in Warsaw and ran for WCHS, so this program means a lot to me. I am looking forward to creating memories and connecting with parents and students in the coming years."I currently reside in Winona Lake with my wife Emily, a Family and Consumer Science teacher at WCHS. " Coach Campbell ran for WCHS (Class of 2007): Most Valuable Runner three times in cross country and twice in track. He coached at Warsaw from 2010-2017; three years as the head coach of the Warsaw women’s cross country program. He assisted in both track and cross country programs for several years. ​WCHS Children's Theatre Class presents SNOW WHITE The WCHS Children's Theatre Class presents Snow White on Saturday, December 4 at 7:30 pm in the Warsaw High School PAC Auditorium. The Witch was the fairest one of all first, and she will not be silenced any longer! This updated version of the classic story unveils the villain's perspective, from her tragic childhood to her quest for revenge. So how did the story really go? Join all seven quirky dwarves, a tongue-tied prince, a sassy mirror, a dancing chicken, and of course Snow White, in a tale about beauty, friendship, and happily-ever-afters with a twist. ​WCHS Theatre Department presents ONE ACT PLAYS The WCHS Theatre Dept. will present An Evening of One-Act plays on December 3, 2021, at 6:30 pm in the Warsaw High School PAC Auditorium. These 8, very diverse plays, are directed by juniors and seniors in the Theatre Dept and the 50+ students involved are letting their talents shine. This will be an extremely enjoyable evening with plays about The Mystery Gang, a fly in someone's soup, first dates gone wrong, a murder mystery, a different perspective, a football star on stage, and finding out who stole in Principal's toupe. Tickets are $8.00 each and may be purchased by calling the Warsaw Performing Arts Center Box office at (574) 371-5037 or at the door the night of the performances.
