🇺🇸 JROTC: Marching with Pride and Inspiring Young Minds! 🇺🇸 Last week, was a busy week for JROTC! On September 26th, they welcomed middle schoolers to the high school for a special briefing about the program, with a bit of recruiting thrown in! Then on Friday, the JROTC program took center stage, leading the Warsaw homecoming parade! Through 1.5 miles of non-stop marching, our dedicated cadets sang cadences, showcasing the true spirit of JROTC. Led by the Color Guard, our cadets proudly displayed the American, state, and battalion flags. Their poise and respect were evident, reflecting the core values of JROTC. But the parade was just the beginning! Following their remarkable march, our cadets presented the colors at the homecoming football game. With grace and precision, they unfurled the immense flag, symbolizing their deep respect for our nation. The Color Guard presented the American, state, and battalion flags to the stands, leaving an indelible mark of JROTC excellence. Happy National Custodian Recognition Day! 🎺 Our Marching Band is hitting all the right notes! They clinched 1st place in Scholastic A Class at the Carroll Challenge of Bands Invitational this past weekend. Their performance dazzled the judges, earning them Best General Effect and Best Visual awards! 🏆 Next Saturday, they face a pivotal moment at Homestead High School during Prelims as their performance there will determine if they make it to the prestigious ISSMA Finals on October 14. 🌟 WCHS JROTC: A Week of Outreach and Empowerment! 🌟 Our dedicated JROTC cadets have been on the move, spreading the spirit of leadership and service throughout our schools this week! 🏫 School Visits: They made impactful visits to Lakeview and Edgewood Middle Schools, sharing insights about the JROTC program and distributing informative flyers to the future leaders of our community. 🇺🇸 Flag Detail Training: At Washington Elementary School, our cadets showcased their expertise by teaching select 6th graders the art of the flag detail. Together, they learned the importance of properly folding and raising the flag, and the students even mastered this patriotic task on their own! 🎉 We are thrilled to celebrate success and a thrilling turnout at the 3rd annual Warsaw Men's Soccer Hispanic Heritage Month Game last night! What an incredible evening! ⚽ Food Delights: A big shoutout to our food vendors for the delicious treats. Vibrant Culture: The pre-game dancing by Our Lady of Guadalupe added a burst of color and energy to the event! Community Support: Thanks to the incredible efforts of our soccer program, this event was free for our amazing community and we were thrilled to have our elementary soccer teams join us on the field. 🌟 Thank you, everyone, for making this night a grand success! Today, they kicked off their journey with a Lunch & Learn session at WCS Central Office which included an inside look into athletics, food service and transportation. They also got to hear from last year's Tiger Ambassadors and meet the Central Office team. This program offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into WCS operations, covering finances, building projects, curriculum and more. ATTENTION: If you are interested in trying out for the Madison Cardinal boys basketball team this year, our new head coach, Nolan Jones, highly encourages you to register for the Warsaw Tiger Basketball Team Camp starting on Sunday October 8th!
