Monday, August 29 a storm blew through and destroyed both Drum Major Podiums of Warsaw High School Marching Band. These are essential for Friday Night Football Games, Marching Band Invitationals, Marching Band rehearsals, and the Marching Band Community Performance on October 14 at Fishers Field.
A phone call to Rick Wagoner at Paiges Music Store, Indianapolis led to the rescue. He offered to reach out to all of the music reps at Paige's Music so they could reach out to their schools with a request to help us.
Two schools immediately responded with an offer to loan Drum Major Podiums to us for the Marching Season. Thank you to Tipton High Schools Bands-Mark Skiba and NorthWood Bands-Eric Criss for their generosity. Drum Major Podiums are on order expected in 6 weeks.
Warsaw Community Schools is celebrating a year of kindness so we couldn't miss this opportunity to share this story of kindness with everyone.
Again, we are so grateful to the Band Community for coming together to support Warsaw High School Band.
Thanks to Leonard Gagnon for going the distance and picking up the equipment for our students. GO TIGERS! First invitational Saturday, September 10 at Goshen High School.
