Tiger Cross Country Advances to State

WARSAW, IN - On Saturday, November 1st the Warsaw Lady Tigers Cross Country Team and Senior Jackson Gackenheimer will toe the line against the state’s best runners in the 2025 IHSAA State Cross Country Championships.
The race is held at the legendary Lavern Gibson Course in Terre Haute, Indiana. The teams will leave from the back (Door 22) of Warsaw Community High School at 8:00am Friday, October 31st and drive between the TRAC and Washington Elementary to exit onto Fisher Avenue with parents and fans cheering from Capstone Free Methodist Church right after the second light on St Rd 15 to head south for Terre Haute.
The Lady Tigers placed 4th at the New Haven Regional last weekend to punch their ticket to Terre Haute and earn a coveted spot on the State Championship start line. The Tigers narrowly missed out on 3rd place by four points to Carroll. This race was an extraordinary effort by each of our runners. Six out of the seven runners ran lifetime personal records putting everything on the line to advance to the State Meet.
Senior Jackson Gackenheimer won the Regional Meet in exceptional back to back fashion and is fresh off winning the Individual Sectional Title for the third year in a row. This is a true testament to the grit and fierceness of these athletes who have been training for these moments since June.
A special highlight as the team gears up to head down south; Senior Sammi Rastrelli looks to toe the State Line for the 4th consecutive year in a row as she will join only a handful of Lady Tigers to accomplish this feat.
We hope to see you in front of Capstone Free Methodist Church to send off these athletes on Friday morning at 8am! This is truly an accomplishment and we are asking these athletes to put it all on the line one more time this season. Your encouragement and support means the world to them! Jackson Gackenheimer will be racing at 12:00pm and the girls race will go off at 1:00pm.
