Homeless Assistance

Warsaw Community Schools is committed to ensuring that all students have access to a stable and supportive education, even during times of housing instability. Under federal law, students experiencing homelessness have specific rights and protections to help them remain enrolled in school and receive the support they need to succeed.

McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act

The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act ensures educational rights and protections for children and youth experiencing homelessness. The law focuses on removing barriers to enrollment, attendance and academic success.
