What is StudentSquare?

What is Student Square?

StudentSquare is an easy-to-use communication tool for students and staff. 

What you can do with StudentSquare:

  • Receive messages from school by email, text (add your phone number to your account if you’d like to receive texts) or mobile app.
  • Send messages to your teachers and staff at school.
  • Stay in the loop regarding late start days, extracurricular activities, and class projects.
  • Subscribe to calendars, RSVP to events, complete forms, use sign-up sheets and participate in groups. 

The ParentSquare apps are free and available in both the Apple iOS and Android stores (links below). You can also access StudentSquare on the web.

There are two different ways to activate a StudentSquare Account:

  • Open the Warsaw Schools’ Invitation Email or Text Invitation (with a button to activate your account) 
  • Open the Student Square app on your school issued iPad. Click the Sign in with Google button and enter your Warsaw Schools Email

Activate Your Account

2. Enter your warsaw schools email or cell number (if you provided one when you registered for school) to sign in.

3. If this is your first time registering, you will also have to enter the verification code to register your email and/or cell phone number.

Log in to StudentSquare

    2. Enter your email or cell number you used to activate your account and the secure password you created. 
    3. Click Sign In.

    **Or click on Sign In with Google (using your warsawschools.org email)

    2. Enter your email or cell number you used to activate your account. 
    3. Tap Continue.
    4. Enter the password you created for your account.  
    5. Tap Sign In.

    **Or click on Sign In with Google (using your warsawschools.org email)

     

Family Messaging

Once students and parents have activated their Parent Square and Student Square accounts, they can begin messaging each other. Family messaging allows parents and students within the same family to communicate with one another right from the Parent Square/Student Square app.

    • Students can message their parent(s)
    • Parents can message:
      • Their student 
      • The other parent(s) linked to the same student. To send this message, the parent must also include their shared student (if StudentSquare is enabled) or a staff member. 

  • To message the other parent of your student, you must also include either your shared student or a staff member at the school.

    If you don't include your student or a staff member, you will see the following error, "To message other parents, please include a staff member or a shared child in the conversation."

  • Siblings cannot start conversations with each other. A parent or staff member must initiate the group conversation. 

    Note: Parents can start a group message that includes siblings, but all participants must be associated with the same school. 

  •  

    Yes. Message are automatically translated based on each user's preferred language, just like other direct messages. 

  • If a grandparent or family member is syncing into ParentSquare as a parent/guardian for a student, then they would also be able to message a student in the same way a parent can.
