Warsaw Schools Celebrates 20 Years of Providing Free Summer Meals for Children

Warsaw Community Schools (WCS) will once again provide free summer meals for all children ages 18 and younger through the Summer Food Service Program during June and July. This year marks the 20th year of the district helping provide meals and nutritional support to students and families throughout the summer months.
The program is designed to help ensure children continue to have access to nutritious meals while school is not in session. Meal sites will be available throughout the community, including parks, schools and neighborhood locations, making meals accessible for families across the Warsaw area. No registration or identification is required for children to participate.
Summer meal locations and times include:
Center Lake Bixler Park & Winona Lake Park: June 1-26 & July 6-24
Monday-Friday
Meal Service: 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Whispering Pines (Levi Lee Rd., Leesburg): June 1-26 & July 6-24: Mondays & Wednesdays Only
11:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Lincoln Elementary: June 1-19
Breakfast: 8:30 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.
Lunch: 12:15 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Edgewood Middle School: June 1-19
Breakfast: 8:00 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.
Lunch: 11:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Fisher Field, located within the WCHS Tiger Athletic Complex: June 2-11
Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
Snack & Lunch: 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Fisher Field, located within the WCHS Tiger Athletic Complex: July 13-16
Breakfast: 10:00 a.m. - 10:20 a.m.
Lunch: 12:15 p.m. - 12:35 p.m.

Warsaw Schools is appreciative of the Food Service Department, whose staff work throughout the year and summer months to coordinate site approvals, organize meal logistics and help ensure students continue to have access to important nutritional resources when school is not in session.
